A Dog and his Butterflies

What's going on here?

  • Milo the dog has more than a couple of best friends. This dog's best friends are the butterflies in his owner's garden. He seems to follow his owner on their morning routine in the backyard and that's when he first encountered the Monarch butterflies. He usually sits by the flowers and just observes them.

Highlights

  • Milo seems to be mesmerised by the butterflies.

  • Once, a butterfly landed on his nose and stayed there for a while. Instead of trying to get rid of them, Milo lets it. He waits patiently for the insect to fly away.

  • Milo's owner describes him as a very kind and patient dog.

  • One of his owners decided to make flower crowns for him using the different flowers and leaves from the garden.

  • Milo would wear these crowns without any hesitation and the butterflies would also crowd around the flowers.

  • Because he is a curious dog, Milo would stick his nose in the flower arrangements

  • Milo's owners decided to move the Monarch caterpillars to their butterfly box so that they won't get eaten or attacked by predators.
